THE A LIST! - Borked Communications!

Hello everyone! Just want to say how difficult posting has been recently for the group, THE A LIST! The new updates to the viewer have been a bit borky for me. My notices are not showing up at my desktop when I am online. They sporadically show up in my email offline, but even there, I am missing quite a few.

When I am online, the notices will come and then some are missing, so posting up to FaceBook has been problematic as I am trying to post for each notice.

Also, as a reminder, I want to let everyone know that only 420 characters are allowed on status post. Make sure you include the slurl or at least the region and the coordinates (that takes less characters than the long slurl). And, I don't want to get into notecards as many of us will not open an unknown link on Facebook! Nooooo! LOL!

Anyway, please have patience as the grid works out the problems within groups and communications for THE A LIST! . I am sometimes not receiving notices... even when I am in-world! So, please do not feel that we are slighting you in any way.

Sigh... the grid is morphing and updating and changing. We will be patient as the LR brings the grid up to speed with all our group needs and communications.

Styling Forward : New Reality TV Show!

Create your look for the audition!
A new era in fashion begins ...

Some people say that being a virtual model is easy: You buy a shape and some stylish hair; then you get a nice skin, a pretty dress and a proper AO and off you go down the runway.

Maybe true! So what differentiates the hundreds of thousands of ladies that are dancing in a disco at any given time from the absolute top models?

 It's their ability to style!
Style is an artful talent

The ability to style and make themselves fabulous and unique every time, is the difference between anyone and a fashion connoisseur. They need to know when to leave an outfit alone (less is more), but also when to mix and match and accesorize in a fabulous way to create that look that will have everybody else inspecting them!

Frolic Mills and Mimmi Boa in association with METAVERSE TV are proud to announce the first televised master styling competition. This show is available for both ladies and gentlemen.

CASTINGS:

and that's just the beginning... Many more gifts to be announced later!

Ballet Pixelle behind the curtain

My Second Life has become as busy as my real life. Where do I find time to explore or build or support my friends'  art here?

AVATARA presented by Ballet Pixelle

Ballet Pixelle's AVATARA
I have been trying to see AVATARA by Ballet Pixelle all month long. Each performance, I was either too busy in RL or too busy in SL.

So, I was glad to hear that the ballet company decided to extend AVATARA performance until the end of this month (August 2010).

AVATARA Aliens by Ballet Pixelle

I can remember the first virtual ballet that I saw back in 2007. The movements were still rudimentary and primitive back then. Now, the movements are more complex, more fluid during the transitions.

The performance of AVATARA is beautiful from the simple costumes to the beautiful minimalist watercolor on the back drops.

Two costumes stood out for me: the chess-pawn-shaped costume and the very tall alien costumes. Both were stunning against the backdrops.

The dancing was clean and without too much lag (midweek is a good time to go!), and I did not see any "gray goo" hair or prims.

Try to see this ballet... if only for the visual beauty. Then, be in awe over the incredible animations of the dance itself. This is art and science in one neat package. And, I can't wait for the next artful performance! Bravo! Ballet Pixelle!
