Under new ownership, the Star Bar Martini and Jazz Club presents a venue for romantic dancing and a great place for a date.





Tonight, one of our favorite singers, Trav McCullough gave a concert dedicated to the men and women who have given their lives up in war.



The Memorial Day concert also featured his lovely partner, Clarice Karu, the throaty jazz singer who performed before him.






This was a nice way to spend remembering the reason why we honor this day.

Memorial Day Weekend and the partys are everywhere on the grid! Woot!



I stopped off at Club Experience for pure silliness as founder Angelo Yalin was passing out the powerful absynth along with a huge afro wig.



Particles of green fairies were dancing all around me while dj Davy Zapedzki was spinning a fun oldies set of hip hop, disco, and more.









Ahhhh, silly? Oh yes, and what fun!

The first annual Flower of Life festival is a celebration of mother nature's beauty and wondrous creations. Flower inspired artworks will be featured by Second Life's talented painters, photographers, film makers and builders.  Artists Include, Steff Ling, Lennox Dollinger, Lunna Wilder, Cryptic Quandry, Solace1369 Tigerpaw, and Alexi Ayres.

Artist's Statement:



My 'paintings' are primarily created within Second Life. All of the colors and shapes are from snapshots I have taken of objects I created in SL. Sometimes I use a simple program to take cuttings to layer into collage-like paintings. I don't use Photoshop, or any paint programs, any textures taken from outside SL, or any physical painting or drawing tools.


I was motivated to find ways to create images in Second Life by two factors. I had a number of visual ideas I wanted to pursue, and I had no training, experience, or tools in real life to express them. 


I love Japanese and Chinese gardens, calligraphy and landscape paintings. I have seen some abstract paintings that evoke similar feelings, and wished I could express that combination of color, and calligraphic feel of a landscape. I did not have the opportunity until I found the tools within Second Life.


I make objects, color them, then play with lighting and refraction in the Environmentl Settings menu, then I take snapshots when I see the 'painting' that I want.


I hope you enjoy my work. I'd be happy to talk to anyone about what I do, or how I do it.

The members of THE A LIST! are a varied group of all kinds of interest. The music folks range from live to dj's; all creating different genres for the grid.








One of our favorite dj's is Angelsmoon Jewell who can spin an eclectic set of world fusion to jazzy tunes to romantic contemporary tunes. He is always a pleasure to hear. Tonight, we caught him at Bella Vida Velvet Jazz Lounge.








With dj's such as Angelsmoon Jewell, we are so lucky to have these wonderful dj's in our midst. Spring is here and romance is in the air. What a perfect set of music for a June wedding!

Mareabella Magic and Gauge Carter were both greeting arrivals with a friendly welcome! They welcome all to their club that focuses on AIDS awareness.



And the tunes are always the best of party music here with an array of great dj's here at Dance4Life. Woot!
