Oh, the party is always here at Dance Island. No matter what time of day, there are avis dancing to the hot tunes at the club.







House, techno, trance and more is presented by a variety of dj's from all over the world. As long as I've been coming to Dance Island, I have never heard a bad set. The dj's here are always the best on the grid.







Tonight, we stopped over and started with Aragorn Zelin and stayed for DJVoyager Xue's set. For a Tuesday night, DI was shaking hard. Woot!

Lazy Saturday night of club hopping brings us to Happy Clam Island for dj Barbs Kurka psy spin at Organica.






The particles were going, the rezz was slow and tons of gray people in front of me... but the tunes were great.









Barbs Kurka is a builder, dj and promoter in Second Life. She spins at Organica regularly. Catch her there or BassLine for her dj sets!

The party's overrrrrrr... and just like that, in the middle of Jinx Paz's awesome shock-a-billy spin, her power gave out in a real life lightening storm.






Damn. The music was so fun as she started with a big band swing set that morphed into Jean-Luc Ponty fiddling and then into a nice hilly-billy, rockabilly twang.









Le Cimietiere... where anything goes. The music is always fun here from goth to punk and everything in between.








Jinx is the matriarch of this sim... pink hair and wide-eyed, demented little girl look, she takes care of the artists that hang here... a good thang.

A great bluesy, folksy, almost indie flair with a touch of country western and spanish flamingo influences. Whew... well, that's what musicians do. They borrow a little from here, a little from there to produce the songs from their heart and soul.

skye galaxy in second life

It is rare that I can even get into the sim where Skye Galaxy is performing. Equally, rare is that fact that I usually can not even see this performer as my rezz is usually so slow for him... why? Because there are usually over 40+ avis at the sim to hear him.





So when Cole sent the tp, I even said... "I'll never see him 'cause everything will be gray..." Blah...



Lo and behold, the SL gods were nice tonight, because there he was at his piano playing his music as if nothing was hampering the rezz. I could see Skye Galaxy!



I settled in to just be enveloped by the notes and his mournful voice. Soaring above the crowd, I am floating on his sounds... enjoying his musicianship... oh yah, last I heard... Cole crashed taking a pic. LOL! (told ya so, grrrrl)

We went exploring last night and found a stellar sim called Bonaire12. There is a small club called La Habana Beach Club with salsa music and dance poses.






The tropical sea was breath taking! A deep blue green with almost a teal glow just drew me in as we made the salsa moves on their dance floor.






The dance floor was placed over an aquarium of sea creatures. And the music was divine.






The builder Miqo Kanto gave us a private tour of the entire sim. He showed us several "rides" including a submarine exploration, a zip line and many places of hidden delights.






I totally fell in love with the river gorge. It was absolutely stunning. I just stood there staring at the water for a very long time... totally inspiring.



Miqo is a wonderful builder with a passion for the grid that I haven't seen in a long time. His focus is not retail or commercial. He merely wants to share his vision with the rest of the grid. Truly a top notch avi who is contributing a beautiful experience to the grid.
