The competition is tight and our winner will continue on to the Mr. Virtual World competition. During the competition each finalist has worked hard to achieve his goal in being crowned Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2011. These are hard and challenging times and each contestant on his own has proven to be a great choice if they were the winner. This is an exciting time for our finalists and we wish you for you to join us to reach the finish line and finding out who the new crowned Mr. Costa Rica will be.
We are very excited to announce the Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2011 official judges. The judges this year will have a huge part in selecting who will represent the entire Costa Rica Sims. Each judge will critique appearance, presentation, and the final question response for every finalist. Ultimately, their decisions will reflect who will walk away with one of the Costa Rica Sims highest honors.
The Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2011 Judges are……
Kyra is proud owner of Deluxe Makeup & Skin Studio. She spends her time in Second Life as an Executive Assistant and Model for Danae Magazine. Kyra has modeled for several others including Miss Virtual World.
Maxie describes herself as being “Just a normal girly Brit”, she has been a resident of Costa Rica since the beginning of her Second Life adventure. She has modeled and also reigned as the Miss Costa Rica 2009. She still enjoys shopping and keeping up with the latest fashions, reading blogs and finding new great places to shop.
Saffia Widdershins is the CEO of Prim Perfect Publications, the media company which produces Prim Perfect magazine, The Primgraph magazine , the steam punk web comic The Quest for the Golden Prim, and - in association with treet.tv - Designing Worlds and Metaverse Arts. The organization is shortly officially opening its beautiful new headquarters in Costa Rica Sims, located in San Jose. In her spare time, Saffia likes parties, music, meeting people and exploring beautiful places. She is also working with treet.tv on the telethon that accompanies Relay for Life of Second Life.
Serene’s journey in SL began in July of 2009. What began as a simple curiosity grew to a challenging, fun, and a great second life that gave me an opportunity to meet great people from all over the world. I began pursuing modeling late 2009, attended several academies and contests. My goal was not to become "famous" or "popular", or a "SLebrity", but rather to have fun, face challenges, to learn and maybe, if the time was right, be able to reach some success. This happened in December of 2010. After experiencing several castings and contests, finally after over a year in the industry, I won Miss Morea Style 2011 and Miss Virtual World 2011.
Traveller is owner of Sartoria, a brand created in 2007. This brand brings a fine men’s clothing line to Second life, with it’s details and style. Sartoria is a valuable line of clothes, pants, jackets, ties, shirts and coats, made according to the highest Italian tailoring tradition. The tailoring of clothes is designed to be used in times of gala receptions or business meetings, but their versatility and combination with other pieces from his casual collection also make them more suitable for informal occasions.
WK Ganesvoort was born in 2007. He quickly learned to shop and sought out all the best that SL had to offer. After about 6 months he discovered Costa Rica Sims and fell in love! The exotic beauty of Costa Rica and the surrounding nature, have kept him here, building and developing his estate and decorating his mansion. His home, Ganesvoort House has won 3 awards on SL for design, landscaping & interiors. It has been featured in “Prim Perfect Magazine” and on “Designing Worlds“. Now that his home is completed, he enjoys entertaining and giving fabulous theme parties, such as, The Great Gatsby ball and Sunset Boulevard event for his many friends on Costa Rica Sims and SL. He is also involved with SL charities and organized a successful home tour during the Christmas Holidays, featuring the finest homes on SL. He loves to open his home for the SL community and welcomes visitors to come and enjoy all the beautiful things he has acquired on SL. He is honored to be a judge for this year, Mr. Costa Rica Sims 2011.

NOTE ** This contest is open to both male and female avatars. In the event a male wins, they may gift the skins from LionSkins to a female friend. All other prizes remain the same.
What's more fun in SL than shopping? Well, for one thing, shopping for a makeover! Have you grown tired of your look? Want something new and exciting? Well, have we got a deal for you!
LeeZu! is hosting a makeover contest. Show us your worst look and convince us that you need a makeover desperately. Need new hair? Skin? Clothes? Shoes? Shapes? Eyes? LeeZu Baxter, owner of [LeeZu!] Couture clothing, in cooperation with Music Hyun, owner of *p_OO_f*, professional makeover consultant, Serenity Mercier, owner of the popular Ananke Media Systems which brings you PhotoStage, and Lion Jonesford of LionSkins, maker of quality skins in SL, is ready to give you the makeover of your life! And all you have to do is show us that you need one.
Take a photo of yourself, the less flattering the better, and submit it to us along with a short paragraph telling us why you deserve a complete makeover.
RULES:
All photos must be square format, either 512 X 512 or 1024 X 1024. Any photos submitted that are any other size will be automatically disqualified.
Post processing is permitted but should not alter the essential avatar appearance. No morphs!
One submission per avatar. If you have an alt that you want to enter, that is permitted, but the entry must be submitted under the alt's name.
DETAILS:
Create a Folder called "LeeZu! Makeover - Your Name" and include a notecard telling us why you need a makeover. Maybe you had a bad hairday, or got caught in a tornado. Just have fun with it.
Take a snapshot of yourself at your worst. Think 'opposite of glamour shots'. Include the photo in the folder "FULL PERMS" and name the photo "Help Me - Your Name". Remember.. all photos MUST be square.. either 512 X 512 or 1024 X 1024.
Submit the folder which should include a notecard and a photo to Barbara Nicholls. All submissions will be judged by LeeZu! management and the person needing a makeover the most will win the grand prize.

How to enter Ms Mohna Lisa Couture:
STEP 1: Visit Mohna Lisa Couture at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Braindead/119/180/813 or click on the landmark below.
STEP 2: Join the MLC update group. The group inviter can be found on the left side upon entering the store (the box floating above fire) and will either automatically invite you if within it's immediate area or by clicking on it.
Be sure to pick up the free member only gifts after you join. :)
STEP 3: Purchase any design you wish from the store that you want to take your photo in, it DOES NOT have to be a new release the choice is yours so long as it is not a free gift.
If you already have a Mohna Lisa Couture design you do not have to make a new purchase.
STEP 4: Take a photo/snapshot at any location on any theme you like in your MLC design, must be in at least 1024 x 1024 and no larger than 2048 x 2048 resolution. Be sure to make it full perm.
STEP 5: Rename your photo "MLC PHOTO ENTRY - (your name here)" and send it to Dolce Zeplin no later than midnight on December 26th 2010. All entries will appear on the MLC Flickr site at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mohnalisacouture/
Finalists will be announced on Monday, January 3, 2011 by way of group notice and also on the MLC blog site, the MLC Moolto group and the MLC Facebook group.
The finale, final judging and announcement of Ms. Mohna Lisa Couture, 2nd & 3rd place winners will be held on Sunday, January 9 2011 at 6pm SLT. Location TBA later.
RULES:
1. You must be wearing a Mohna Lisa Couture outfit.
2. You may only submit 1 photograph.
3. No logos, signs or names are allowed on the photographs.
4. No nudity.
5. The size of the photographs should be no smaller than 1024x1024 and no larger than 2048 pixels.
6. Mohna Lisa Couture reserves the right to disqualify if the rules mentioned are not respected.
