Tony Uribe aka Tone Uriza is a 29 year veteran of the Tucson, Arizona blues scene. He has a developed an eclectic style of blues drawing from the traditional & contemporary blues styles of the last century. He covers other blues artist only with the intent of bringing more blues and it's rich history to the world. An ambassador if you will, Tone loves spreading the blues wherever he can. Often taking short pauses during a performance to educate and inform his audience on the music he loves so dearly. As you can imagine there is a lot of heart, soul, and feeling in a Tone Uriza performance. In 1999 Tony Uribe aka Tone Uriza was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall Of Fame.  Go to http://members.cox.net/jjp62/index1.html to see other members.

As well as a musical passion, Tone also has a passion for technology and the internet. A long time digital electronics tech since 1979, Tone is equally at home behind a computer as he is behind his guitar.
Although a cover artist, Tone also writes, records, publishes, produces, and owns all his original music. His record company, TRU Blues Records and production company, TRU Productions in real life are his primay concerns as an artist.

Tone also owns and performs in his own venue in Second Life called Blues Heaven named after his Blues Heaven group. Join the Blues Heaven group for a heavenly blues experience in Second Life. Here is the landmark. 􀀙

Reviews:

Here is what Tone's real life favorite blues DJ, Marty Kool (his actual name) had to say about Tony Uribe aka Tone Uriza and his band Tony & the Torpedoes in the real world,

"When I think of the great bluesmen like Albert Collins, Albert King, Freddy King, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and so many more, I notice a recurring theme. Along with endless creativity and musical talent comes the fact that they play the blues because they “gotta”. Like John Lee Hooker says, “It’s in ‘me, and it’s gotta come out”. That’s the sign of the genuine article. Tony Uribe falls into this category. The feeling he projects through his soulful singing and tasteful guitar work is completely sincere. Tony takes his music seriously. Every note is honest and heartfelt, burning with passion. This is contemporary blues, built on a foundation of respect for tradition. On this foundation, and out of this respect, Tony has developed a style all his own: a style with style. I mean style like a ’58 Buick ragtop has style. That’s class!

Whether it’s lowdown, or uptown, Tony and band aim the beat at your feet. When they take the stage, dance floors fill up. They don’t just dance where he plays; they follow him wherever he plays. This is “feel good” music. When the band feels good, the crowd feels good. And his band always feels good. Tony’s conduct as a gentleman of the blues, his gracious invitations to young up and coming musicians to sit in, and his commitment to quality have garnered him the respect of his contemporaries, too. He’s shared the stage with bluesmen as diverse as Homesick James and Ronnie Earl, while the area’s top musicians jump at the chance to fill in whenever the opportunity arises.” – Marty Kool  (DJ host of the Saturday evening Blues Review every week from 6 to 9 pm on Tucson’s KXCI 91.3 FM Community Radio.)

I do admit that I am a rather proud California resident. The west coast is where Linden Labs was born and the magical idea of Second Life.

California has the beauty and ruggedness of Northern California and the glitz and gorgeous weather of Southern California.

Today, on the grid, we are at San Diego's The Majestic for live streaming music from Tucson, AZ featuring Mighty Joe Milsap & Fremonts courtesy of blues man Tone Uriza.

The Majestic is gorgeous with old world textures. The beautiful magnolias on the walls are like old dutch paintings. Just beautiful.
