Maximillion Kleene is a live musician in Second Life spreading good cheer and happy music throughout the grid. Acoustic songs of indie, alternative, contemporary and even his own compositions, you can find him almost everyday somewhere on the grid playing to his ardent fans!

Tonight, this Sunday, he is playing at Army OneSource, a resource sim for military families. Max helps out those on the grid with fundraising, awareness and drawing the crowds for region owners everywhere.

A lovely special evening tonight at THE MILL where I got to hear for the first time, Karter Stonecutter. A voice full of rock angst seasoned and experienced. You just know he has had a career in music.




Loegan Magic and Porter Paquot has a great place called THE MILL where they welcome avatars to just hang out for parties, live music and even trivia nights!


In Loegan's words about Karter Stonecutter: 


"A self-taught musician, Karter plays by ear and has paved his successful professional path with no formal training. His travels have placed him on stage with Michael McDonald, The Temptations, Cheap Trick, Heart, Jackson Browne, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jefferson Starship, Air Supply, The Tubes and Frankie Goes To Hollywood."

Lori Saxondale has created a beautiful intimate venue for live music with an emphasis on Classical genres. The Music Gazebo is on FalconDale region.






Tip Corbett, pianist has composed contemporary, avant garde pieces for the discerning musical taste. His concerts are improvisional and he takes the time to give a lecture on the architecture of the music. The concerts are a learning event!



The room was lovely with a stain glassed ceiling, waterfalls nearby and rich, cherry wood trim. A perfectly relaxing place for the classical music lover. Thank you, Lori for a wonderful Second Life place!

So many people of such incredible talent are performing in Second Life. Live musicians who perform their own compositions and others with talent so rich that they also perform with electronic enhancement.





No matter, these musicians deserve our support. Tonight, Dale Katscher is performing at Key West Resort, Liz Harley's awesome outdoor venue. Dale performs many of his own compositions and when he does a cover, he owns it with his own interpretation.







What I hope is that the avatars in Second Life appreciate the musicianship of each and every musician on this grid. Support each other and thrive as a music industry!

My avatar was bitten by the cyber bug after watching Tron, the big Disney release in mid-December. I had to burn that feeling so I walked about in a cyber outfit for a few days.




On Dec 19th, I went over to Tournicoton Art Gallery to see Cherry Manga's installation. The ghostly white installation was stark against the black night and the artwork floated in the sky near the long walkway.




Other artists were at the show, but I was there to see Cherry's work as she has been a favorite artist of mine for a very long time.


JayJay Zinfanwe just sent out the UWA (University Western Australia) announcements for December's round of their art challenge and low and behold! Cherry Manga's work was the winner for last months competition. 


His comments, "...Cherry Manga's  IL PLEUT SUR MON COEUR COMME IL PLEUT SUR LA VILLE (It's raining in my heart, as it's raining in the town) took out the top prize (L$10,000) for the December round of the UWA 3D Open Art Challenge. "




Go and check out her work at the UWA show! You will also be mesmerized by her work. She deserves the recognition and the win. Her work has always captivated me in more ways than I can explain.

A New Year is here! 2011 is in full swing and it's already January 2nd. Many of you will be going back to work tomorrow on Monday to a full weekly schedule while others are creating new content for the grid; just waiting for the right moment to share it with all of us.


Xavi was busy the last few days contacting special members and loyal old members about new concepts for our group, THE A LIST! Though we (Xavier and Raftwet) both may not agree on every issue, we both agree that it is time to reward our loyal members. Those are the original members who have stuck with us through the growing pains of this group. We all learned along the way that our original concept had credence and worth.





We both thank you all very much!


Our new members, and new friends do not need to fear. We respect this entire group and their personal interests and businesses. We only want to let all of you know how much we honor each and everyone of you.


Please take the time to contact us with any ideas or criticisms while we are in-world. Please keep in mind that your notecards and IM's are not always received by us when we are offline. Both of us have huge inventories, and the grid communication can be a nightmare as it applies to group IMs and offline emails. So, please be patient and try catching us online.





And, again, thank you for your kind support and acknowledgement. We are blessed to have this group! THE A LIST! rocks... and so do you!

Oh, man do we "got the blues" at the end of the year. This is the time of year for reflection and praise of the best. And, I was in the mood for some down low blues.



Blues musician, Ganjo Mokeev is simply a great live performer on the Second Life grid. His bluesy guitar just wails the right emotion and compliments his rockin' voice. Tonight, he is playing at Pannie's.





This is party time and every club and venue has dj's, live acts and more. Get out there folks and party till it's 2011!
