I had a nice chill time at HOME today hanging out with the party people listening dj Grip Talon spin.
I saw Justine Perenti, of course, and Shad Raffke, Elisha Richez, Solange Daviau, and others.
Looks like some serious building is happening next to the club itself... hmmm, can't wait to see what HOME is planning next!

I caught dj SAO Tokyoska from Mexico spinning a wicked set tonight. I really like this dj a lot! He spins electro, minimal and then mixes in the vocal trance. Very cool and very awesome avi and a fun night at Dance Island!
Working under the ocean today made me think of Club Neptune. Jen Noel sent a shout out in The A List! for a jazz and Sting set at the club.
I caught the last few tunes by DJ Rabbit before Jen aka The Dealer started her set. Stayed for a bit until RL came calling, but just enough to chill out for a bit.
Fist time I went to Truehouse was with Mackenzie from Mack's Place. She was hosting here for a while.
Today, I got a shout from Miss Tasty Hax herself. Tasty owns Radiant Bliss group, a large promotion group dedicated to unity, music, dj's and events.
Her spins of house music always have a jazzy feel and very sexy beats. The perfect setting for Truehouse Cafe, on the ocean and very chill in the outdoors.
Woot! Digital Francis sent out a shout for Anoushka Klaar's birthday party! What a fun place, too. Hello Kitty logo plastered on the dance floor, carnival colors and designs, fluffy pink doo dads. So kewt!
DJ Joachimmsz Beck was spinning a fun set for a group of Anoushka's friends. I stopped by for a bit to congratulate her and join in some fun. Congrats! Anoushka!

This fundraiser is for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. This wonderful organization helps with educating, supporting, and raising money for research for a cure. That's right... Over 1.4million people are effected by Crohn's and Colitis, with ages ranging from school children to grandparents.. and while there are treatments and medicine that can help people live productive lives, there is currently no cure.
Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease are the most common types of inflammatory bowel disease. Ulcerative colitis affects only the colon and rectum. Crohn’s can affect any part of the digestive tract.

Finding a cure for Crohn's is a cause that touches me deeply. I suppose you could call me an unofficial advocate! My best friend/sister, Linda, was diagnosed in 1997 while active in the US Army. Unfortunately, she had to have surgery right away to treat her disease. Linda had been ill for three years prior to the diagnosis and the disease had a lot of time to rampage her system. Since the time Linda was diagnosed she has had a total of 13 surgeries related to her Crohn's disease.
Linda's Crohn's has never gone into remission and at this time she is taking the last available drug for treatment of Crohn's disease. None of the other drugs have worked to keep her Crohn's under control, and she has suffered from nearly every related condition known to Crohn's in the last 12 years. Needless to say, the past few years have been very touch and go -- we thought we were going to lose her on more than one occasion. She will be 35 this June, she is married, with two sons and two stepdaughters.
Most recently, her doctors told her she is now suffering from Peripheral Neuropathy and will have to begin walking with a cane. Despite this fact, Linda and her entire family will be participating with TAKING STEPS in Nashville TN - this is a fundraising walk-a-thon. When her doctor told her she could cancel the walk if she thought it would be too much, she looked at him and said: If I have to walk on my hands, I'm doing this walk.
This is just one example of the lives that are effected by Crohn's and Colitis. Your participation, donation, and support are very sincerely appreciated. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be going to CCFA.

DJ Okin Nishi was playing at the newest offering at BassLine Island, Darkstep. A very cool build of industrial, psy and surrealism. The eyes were everywhere watching us... chartreuse green glowing eyes following me everywhere... eeeeek!
BassLine is the home of Drum and Bass and has some of the most popular DnB dj's on the grid. They seem to have a new club offering every few months... always keeping things fresh. The Darkstep club is a beautiful build paying homage to a world of surreal industrial musical noise.
Liqwid Lancaster was there along with Chantell, Shanti, Bren, Dionsysis and others. I kept looking at the textures and the rotating dj booth... very cool place. I'll have to come back to hear Liqwid and dj Sven Newman here.
