Running into old friends is always a treat. Last night I ran into Pete Westminster aka dj Barbarick over at Dance Island. Tonight he is at a new club called The Sanctuary.



Speaking of old friends, JJ Rotunno and his partner Clyn Vella own The Sanctuary. I knew them when I used to hang out at another fav club called The Pillbox. Talk about reminescing... we also share a lot of old friends like Shad Raffke from Piranah and Justine Perenti from HOME.



I listened to Clyn Vella's set and then stayed for awhile to hear Pete Westminster. Woot! Fun new club!

I heard a rumor around the grid that DJ Barbarick was back... we always called him Barb... hardstyle dj who was a good friend of Xavier's. We even went to his wedding, and soon after he left the grid for unknown reasons.

This UK dj brings a different type of hardstyle mix to the dance floor. He even mixes a bit of the mash into his sets. Hard beats with a little craziness thrown in just to keep the feet moving. I always enjoyed listened to "Barbs" spin at his parties.

And now, he is back at Dance Island spinning his brand of hardstyle as a new avi named Pete Westminster. So nice to hear him again... woot!

I met VJ Shojo a while ago spinning over at MMAC almost two years ago. The thing that struck me is his easy going personality. Very groove, very chill... he spins a jazz mix filled with contemporary, latin, fusion and even indie tunes. I fell in love with his mixes.





He has a radio link at RadioGroove filled with his cool groove and he now has a very nice club on the ocean called Cafe Groove at the Stone Pike sim at Port Shojo. He is an artist, a musician, a business man and a really nice guy.

Today, he announced that he was heading for the Yampa river to do a high water rafting trip. He knows I like the rivers, too and I got the impression that after that first trip back in 2007 that he is addicted to the outdoors, too! LOL! The river grabs another...

SIRHC!!!! OMG, our good friend and favorite DJ from San Francisco is back on the grid. Sirhc Martinek sent us a personal shout for a spin at ScoutLounge on the Swiss Media sim.

I first heard Sirhc when he owned the popular sci-fi club Contact. That was a cool build mimicing all things space. There was always some of the coolest dj's at his club. DJ's like Shusaku Rhodes, DJOsiris Darkstone, Pan Tripsa and so many others that I saw there.

Sirhc is also a dj in real life in San Francisco, California. He also has his own catalogue of his own compositions, and I can remember going to several parties where he was streaming his music from the club to his club in Second Life. You can get Sirhc Martinek music here.

Oh so nice to hear this dj again. As busy as he is in real life, it's nice to have Sirhc Martinek back on the club circuit where we can hear him... woot Sirhc!

Oh what a hectic week I had in RL... I needed a Friday night of fun. Off we went to shop and chill when we got a shout from Ware Schwade over at DeRailed.

I was too busy the last couple weeks to see Aven Zapatero and the rest of the gang over there, so we stopped off for a bit. Take a look at Aven's youtube link for the "cult of bacon." It will explain the bacon sculpture in the club Derailed. LOL!



dj Ware Schwade had his heavy pounding beats, but several interludes brought dark sounds... scary and ominous! His music could be properly described as epic. I could really see his spins accompanying a video or game platform... very orchestral. You can find Ware at DeRailed as altered as he readily admits. Hehehe.

The ultimate mash up king held full court tonight with a cast of crazies who love his spins. We are real fans and bordering on obsession... I saw djOsiris Darkstone, Laslopantomik Yao, Ideal Flow, Tradgedy Kidd, Taliesin Llanfair, Lolla Honi, Raver Xeno and of course, my angel, Xavier.



Yes, Mr Widget of Muzik Haus provides a welcome respite to the normal genres of music heard across the grid.

I heard Mr Widget once and kept coming back... you will too.

Ahhh, got a shout from Briddy from The Underground group. Ideal Flow was playing at House Divaz.

Smooth minimalist tunes was perfect for me to chill right next to the beautiful ocean at House Divaz's patio lounge area.





I saw the whole gang there including my angel, Xavier,  co-owner, Jasminx Saenz, Renanyoy Oh, Lolla Honi, Kandy Roussel, Lanne Wise, and of course Ideal Flow. FUN!

I was playing with my scanner scripts tonight and discovering all kinds of cool stuff, when I got the shout from Queen from The Underground group... Init Hubble was spinning at Rubik's Music Lounge.

Multi-tasking on projects, listening to the minimalist tunes of Init Hubble and dancing on my new animation... yah, nice end to a hectic Monday.
