One of the members of The A List! is a virtual unknown musician in SL. He is an extraordinary pianist of classical, jazz, contemporary and original compositions.
We (Xavier and Raftwet) both discovered him one evening while clubbing on the grid. He was playing at The Glenn Gould Performance Space and he is here again tonight.
The thing that strikes me is that he is playing in an unfinished build. The people who support him are real music lovers. He is bare bones, playing in his living room in the USA, and he cares nothing about his avis' look or where he plays. A true artist...
Skyblue Swansong deserves a listen and the people who attended tonight seemed to think so too!

second life party : macks rezz day
Woot! Monday, May 4, 2009 is Mackenzie's rezz day! She is officially (2) two years old in Second Life...
Ahhh, time flies by so fast in this place, this beautiful virtual world... I met Mackenzie a long time ago. I can't remember the actual conversation or who was spinning (probably djxHalloween Boa or dj Audrey Falta or dj Ice Tracer) at TJIce that night, but I met her there.
The gang was varied and full of spice. There were so many of us hanging out at that club and Mack was always there, too. She was friendly, outgoing... the perfect club hostess!
I followed her to several clubs after TJIce closed including the ones I still go to and help to promote. She was always the friendliest, the one who always made you feel welcome, the one who you remembered...
And now, we are buddies, good friends and she is a member of The A List! Celebrity group. We can talk about anything and everything... the grid, the peeps, the clubs, the djs, the men (lol!), the music, our clothes, and even ourselves. We talk about it all...
She's a great second life photographer, too! Make an appointment for her special couple photos or for an upcoming wedding.
I congratulate Mackenzie on 2 years of success on this grid! You go grrrl!

artist yvonne bourgoin at house divaz
One of my very favorite clubs is House Divaz, the International House of Music. It's been a favorite haunt for a long, long time.
Hostess and artist, Yvonne Bourgoin sent a shout out for a new dj Mariska Miles. House Divaz always has some of the best dj's on the grid. Mariska does not disappoint with her minimal house tech tunes.
I stayed dancing on the steps near artist RichardJames, another old friend of House Divaz. The only one missing was djxHalloween Boa himself!
club experience in second life
So many clubs disappear on the Second Life grid. Some don't make it because of finances, drama between partners or just plain ol' fatigue.
Clubs are hard to create, hard to keep going. Promoters and dj's come and go, groups disappear or merge and some clubs just don't survive all the changes.
Club Experience is a club that has been here for two years. I have been coming here a long time. Even my first few dates with my angel were here! LOL! I remember clubbing with Mack and the peeps here, too! So, it has a lot of history for me.
Angelo Yalin is an owner of this club. A nice gentleman who greets everyone with a friendly hello and welcome. His job is made easier by the friendly club patrons who enjoy the club, the beautiful lights and the great dj's that always spin here.
Today, I am listening to dj Smeagol Greene spin a great set of trance. I have heard her before as she is also a former club owner. She has many fans and draws a great crowd.
Congratulations to Club Experience for their longevity and their success!
djsven newman : drum n bass
DJSven Newman is one of my favorite dj's on the Second Life grid. His parties are legendary. The drum n bass and the raps will make the most stoic jump up and dance.
Sven Newman aka Sven Neos is also a dj that nourishes younger dj's and encourages them. He gives them opportunities to spin in RL and in SL.
Today I caught him over at Popscene's Leeds Warehouse for a drum and bass set. Geesh, the place was packed! All the drum and bass addicts always seem to find dj Sven!
Sven is usually found over at Bassline Island at their main stage or the Goldfish club there. He is part of the BassLine Junkiez group.

Rocky Horror Picture Show... movie night at Jake's Club Resort was a fun way to cap the Friday night of clubbing.
The public chat was fun to read as each scene and actor was unmercifully critiqued. LOL!
I caught JakeC Hotshot and Baz Ceawlin decked out in their best Rocky Horror fashion. Oo la la... don't they look divine?

dj tasty hax from radiant bliss
I am filing a nightmare of textures in my inventory. Not much fun for a Friday! Anyway, thank gawd, I got the tp from Mizzzz Tasty Hax over at Radiant Bliss for a party at Junior Jack Island. (Click on her name link for 2 new mixes from her musical catalogue of spins!)
Tasty was spinning a nice house set, so I put away the files and tried to take some time off to go party... well, 3 cell phone calls, one upload and several other RL distractions made me miss most of her set. Tasty's sets always have a cool jazz influence to the mixes... very nice!
I did get over to hang though and listen to some cool house tunes. Tasty was still there dancing on the floor, decked out in sporty clothes ready for the lazy beach scene at Junior Jack Island. Woot! Party on peeps...

dj luigy balhaus party at digital nation stadium
Ahhhh... Digital Francis creates another home run! This time he's created a huge stadium on the Fiteiro Cultural sim where art and music reigns strong.
DJ Luigy Balhaus was spinning house tunes with a bit of a Spanish influence. I had the Sine Wave dances going on doing a new dance for me called the Urbane.... lol!
The Digital Nationa Stadium is HUGE! and I mean really huge! The stadium is fit for major events and parties in Second Life. Ooooo, I can't wait to see this place filled to the max... well, the sim only holds... let's see now... 100 if we are lucky!

pan tripsa as shaman zombie
Dark Psy master and shaman, DJ Pan Tripsa lead the charge of creatures and zombies at Srivatsa today.
The forest was dark and forbidden as creatures and zombies entered the squealing noise of the dark psy. Experimental noises and sounds enveloped the forest as each creature danced to the tunes.
Several great dj's such as Veronika Sautaureau, Sofiax Nemeth, Arora Giha and Pan Tripsa spinned an awesome set of dark psy tunes.
Grendel's Children was out in force as most of us got our avi costumes there at one of the most popular retailers on the grid.

stefan chrousch at black box final party
You know how you want something to go on forever? Well, that's how I felt about Black Box club on Vania sim.
A funky, distressed underground scene where every party felt like a special scene. Everyone was always here enjoying the tunes.
Tonight, I see everyone here! Stefan Chrousch, Yura Gazov, Prosperitus Nakamura, Emmily Cortes, djOsiris Darkstone, HeftyHoney Mighty, Lilian Howley, Seismo Glanz, Cagier Krugh, Jeena Pearl, Tommi Inshan, Longinus Fapp, Kemmi Kmachi, Pussy Nacht, Nurito Inshan, Ideal Flow, Thinker Moy and others.
The lag is incredible as more avis come tp'ing to salute this final night at Black Box. Thank you to the United Beats group for this awesome place!
Black Box is no more... and now the United Beats team will concentrate on their other signature clubs on the Vania sim.
The music continues! Never to end, never to stop! Woot!
