FMF Videos - Aoshiscofield Paine

I needed a video done of my sim, WETLands. Something that would just give a glimpse of the land itself. I didn't have a concept; just knew I wanted something that had music, showed the land and reflect my passion about building, creating.

I went to my old friend who is now in The A List! group. Aoshi is a friend whom I met waaaaaay back in 2007 on the beautiful, little island of Japan Resort. We met then and became fast friends. We used to build there at their sandbox ... the little sandy box is gone now. Too many griefers took advantage of the generousity of the sim owners.

 

I knew Aoshi was playing around with video. His youtube channel, FMF Videos,  is full of NBA footage. Like me, he is ga ga over basketball. We had done a video together before that told a beautiful story of light and dark; angels and demons. I thought he had done a great job. So I asked him if he would like to produce it.

That night, we both worked on through, when I got an IM around 4am giving me the link. I love it, I love it.

New Members!

We have a few new members that I would like to mention today.

I met Lastping Asp at the end of 2007. I ran into him because I was working with water, water prims for rivers on my sim. Most of my land has Tu Dae, from Northland sims, scripted water prims. But, it's always nice to see what's being offered on the grid.

Lastping is a French scripter and creator. He is very good. He has recently created an advanced system for surfable waves. Very cool peeps... And he is also a networker on the internet. His wife and he have a great network of information on the web. I found her blog recently. One that is very informative for sim builders, sim owners and/or land developers in Second Life.

Last night, I invited him into our group and had a great chat with him. I think you will agree that his Ground3D products will help you to provide a very cool experience on your land.

Also, last night I received a shout from Digital Nation. DJ Digital Francis was spinning at the Grand Opening of the 1015 Folsum club on Brimir sim. A loving reference to a real life club in San Francisco, California.



The club was hopping with avies dancing to Digi's progressive tunes and mixing in world music of all genres. He's a very good dj and his catalogue proves that he loves all music.



An old friend of mine whom I've known forever on the SL grid, is Aosh. He is a creator and artist. I have a collection of his bears in my inventory and my land. He is also a Second Life videographer. I love working with him on projects, and he has hired me several times to be his actress... LOL! Aoshiscofield does beautiful artful videos on his channel FMF Videos. Make sure you look at it in High Definition.



Speaking of art. I found a photo gallery last night while working on videos. Ten Thousand Shadows sim is a fun place to explore. Lots of cool shops and club stuff. But, I found a gallery display of photos by Tomarus Lednev. Wow! The photos were just stunning. They don't belong to our group, but they deserve a mention. Remember we are The A List! and we will try to let you know about other places, people and things despite their involvement or not.

Artists in Second Life

The A List! group has many interesting artistic avies. Not only do we try to network the promoters, but we also try very hard to include the artists as well. Most of them are connected with the music industry or performance art. It is rare if a dj, live musician or artist in Second Life wears only one hat or title. Most are multi-dimensional producing in SL with many aspects of the arts.

We have some stellar names that I would like to share. Of course, one of the most well-known artist in Second Life, Sabine Stonebender. Sabine created Zero Point. Enough said there. But, Zero Point is also a business with a retail store. So networking with this avie brings several dimensions. Sabine's work is cause enough for the rest of us to network with her and bring her art and retail space to the public on the grid.

Cienega Soon has been written about by many people including myself. A real world artist with a mile long list of credentials, she brings a viewpoint into the Second Life community unmatched by others. I love her philosophy of SL art; she tries not to have real life influences, instead, focusing on the technology available here for the creators. Her Juicy Gallery is located at Misali sim and features new SL artists. She is a supportive artist to others.



Others, such as Naofume Camel, who's catalogue of art includes videography, machinima and art performance is also a real life artist connecting with both the real and virtual worlds. He is networking with several other artists at Fiteiro Cultural, Casa de Millagroso. He is a networking machine.



Stefanik Dagostino is a gallery owner with a huge stable of artists. S&S Gallery of Fine Arts is frequently sited among many art groups within Second Life. He has regular shows, events, and promotions at his beautiful gallery. Join his group and you will receive many free art offerings during the year. His recent show had me purchasing whimsical sculptures for my garden.



Brady Rowell is a well-known photographer in SL. His work is lovingly crafted with the care of someone who loves Second Life and the avatars themselves. He was chosen to do our photographs at our wedding. Xavier just loved his old world vintage look to the wedding pictures. He's also involved with Jake's Club Resort and holds regular events there. Contact him directly for photo appointments.

Mackenzie Koenkamp is another wonderful photographer. Her work is beautiful, and she also recently made the cover to the Second Life Magazine. Her Macks Studio & Model is by appointment only, so please look her up and contact her directly. She specializes in portraits and commercial work so consider her for your business images, too.

Another artist in our group is Chuckmatrix Clip. A young emerging artist making a name for himself because his work speaks to many people, and he is a smart artist who also knows how to network. You can find his artwork online at the virtual photo storage site at koinup or at his virtual gallery CMC Designs.

DaSaved Eros, who has focused on his own network of edgier artists has created the group, Underground Artist of Second Life. His dedication to underground artists is one we should admire. His space on his land is dedicated to music and art and he allows artists to create there. He is an artist, creator and networker with a true commitment to the arts.

Lennox Dollinger who creates stunning black and white images in real life is also a regular on the art scene in Second Life. Her work is executed with precision and craft. She is an accomplished artist in real life and shares her work here in SL. She has content and her portfolio at avatrait.com where several of our members have also networked, but she has also set up her profile picks as samples of her SL work.

Xavier and I met MarieLou deCuir while gallery hopping early in 2008. Her beautiful watercolors of young ballerinas caught my eye. Washed in light, the pastel colors highlighted the young dancer posed in gorgeous form. *Smiles* My angel bought my favorite painting for me, and the piece is in the corporate home on Bisque next to the piano. Zod Rau, a friendly and well-known avie is also a real life artist. Don't let the clubbing and avatar fool you. His work is abstract and thought provoking. I have one of his works in the bedroom of my home on WETLands. Everytime I look at it, I smile and remember all the fun times we have had in the past two years. He is currently networking with Jamadagni Lefavre's group, Independent Media Center.



Starz33 McCullough is a photographer from the mid-western USA. She caught on early, the power of networking her real life photographs into a virtual gallery here in SL. 

She now owns Locks&Starz Photography Gallery. She has a huge catalogue of her SL photos on flickr. She is now offering live music at her gallery and her club Evermore.

DJxxMP Mapp is a creative dj who spins at Divaz Lounge. He is also a real life photographer who photographs musical events. His work is thoughtful and sensitive. Beautiful photographs showing his native country, the people and the music events. His photos are a story in themselves.

Artists today, including musicians, now have the power in their own hands. With the internet and networking with each other, you no longer have to rely on someone else to market you. You can take control of that yourself. These artists are creating a networking synergy using The A List! group and their own groups to market, network and advertise their wares.

Promoters

There are many promoters in Second Life. So many new promoters, event makers and party planners are sprouting up everywhere on the grid. And new groups are forming daily... this is good news, my friends. Why? Because people are still creating and making business opportunities in SL which means that the economy is bouncing back with confidence.

We make, we create and then we implement. If it doesn't work, then we go to plan B. The networkers in the group have also created their own synergy grouping with each other on projects, clubs and events. It works... it really does work. Joining forces and sharing resources will cut down on costs, staff and help to focus your energies where it counts the most... the event or party!

Imagine Peace

Recently on our travels and exploration of the great outdoors of the Second Life grid, we found the most interesting art space at Ode sim. WorthWhile by Random Calliope is a thought provoking gallery of artworks and retail space. There is a poster for a free piece of jewelery there, too.



Freebies are fun to receive from builders, but this is not just any piece of jewelery or freebie. The piece, "But I'm Not the Only One" is given to you with a plea for peace. Imagine Peace is the mantra inspired by John Lennon's song, Imagine. Both of us took the freebie, and we were both very inspired by this token, this gift.



Xavier thought it would be grand to give this jewelry to every member of The A List! Why? As a reminder that all of us, though we live in a small microcosm of the universe, have the ability to make a difference in matters of peace. If each of us is reminded to live peacefully with each other, that feeling may spread into your neighborhood, your place of business, your local government, your state, your country and maybe the world.



Artist Random Calliope in a way has given the most powerful reminder of why we are in this place: Peace, Love, Unity and Respect for all living creatures and this planet itself. Creating this jewelry with a symbol of peace and hope; John Lennon and his song Imagine.

I opened a couple of sims last night to celebrate Xavier's real life birthday.
He was feeling out of sorts this past week and needed a party.



The A List! group of friends came through big time for us on very short notice.
Why? Because they support us in every way they can.

good gawd... another blog.

this one is for the a list! in second life founded by xavier one day on a whim... 

(remind me to spank him for that)

heck if i know why i need another blog in my second life or in my real life.

its a group of networkers who understand that xavier and i are not trying to compete w/ other groups or clubs or event makers or promoters.

we leave that to the experts.

the list is from our own hearts.

im basically a cheerleader (rah rah rah sis coom bah)

in other words, its stuff, places, people, djs, music, galleries, sims, events, partys & products that we personally like.

thats it.

what has happened is that within the group itself, people are creating their own synergy.

its a no-brainer. but some get it... some dont.

i just got accused of having multi-avies representing RAFTWET Jewell.

nooooooo... it's just me, a female living in california.

WET Builders practice land on Bisque near the Mauve sandbox.

i work for the california whitewater rafting industry.

and guess what? our industry is in danger of disappearing because of dwindling resources:

the rivers in california are in danger of being dammed or polluted.

when i got here to second life, i discovered that hardly anyone or any country was putting out the info about rivers and conservation.

now, every sim, club, happening or whatevah has a water, river or waterfall element involved.

so did we do good? i dont know... but what i do know is that i am here in this wonderous community... and if you dont like me because i work for a company... well, at least you know im not hiding that fact.

rafting industry is miniscule, but passionate.

we are grassroots ppl!

recent victory is the demise of the Auburn Dam! wooooot!

those politicians who tried to force a boondoggle on northern californians were surprised at how well organized we were to make sure the public was aware of this total waste of money.

and, the loss of a precious river system.
